Nineteen degrees north of the equator you’ll find a small workshop where artisan–owners source local leathers and repurpose tires to craft beautiful handmade sandals. Inspired by its French translation, craftsmen use their own two hands to sculpt sidewalls into soles with a pride that comes from not only making something valuable for others, but also making a meaningful life for themselves.

Deux Mains is an employee-owned and operated footwear company in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. We were born from the disaster of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, but survived in her wake by learning the art of shoemaking, determined to rebuild our lives. With the help of our nonprofit partner, REBUILD globally, we are part of a social business ecosystem committed to building financial security for the most vulnerable in Haiti; while also committed to creating a modern sandal brand that is always authentic, slightly eccentric and proudly unique.

REBUILD globally is a 501c3 organization that provided start-up capital and continues to provide training, leadership development and international sales support to serve as a pathway to profitability and development in Haiti.
